My name is Haley or Hales whatever you prefer. I am a twenty something Gen Z, who is trying to figure her shit out! I love reading "spicy" romance novels, drinking coffee, and taking unnecessarily long naps when I have things to do. I having been through a lot, I want to help you get through the hard and awkward process of growing up. I still have a lot of growing up to do, so hopefully I can learn from you too!
My Story
At the start of this blog, I am 22 years old Bahamian native about to graduate college in a few months. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but self-doubt and a strong fear of failure stopped me. Yet, here I am biting the bullet, and taking a chance on this and putting myself out there.
I created the Becoming Grown community to talk about the hard truths that come with growing up, and going to college/university. We are expected to magically have our lives together before we enter our mid 20s, but they do not teach us how to navigate through life. So, I decided to create a judgement free space where people, like myself, can learn from each other and go through the growth process together. Hopefully we can learn from each other's mistakes and mishaps.
When I say that your girl has been through it! I mean that! Whether it's issues with family, friends, relationships, I have been through it all. However, I would not change a thing because without my past trauma and experiences I wouldn't be me. Growth has made me see things that way, and hopefully you can relate to my past experiences, and come to the realization that even though GROWING UP SUCKS, you are not alone!
